So, Gianna went back to see her doctor today. She wasn't supposed to go until September, but her umbilical cord was still attached and the nurse told me to come in. Turns out that I was just not aggressive enough in the cleansing on her cord...it was off, just stuck inside her belly button. The doctor tugged on it a tiny bit and it came right off. Gianna's weight today was 6lbs and 15 ounces. Almost as much as a normal newborn! She has also graduated from preemie diapers to newborn diapers.
